- The Prodigy announced they will release their new studio album in May.
- Expect new “Super Black” LP from Northern Lite on 14th of March.
- Jochem Peteri aka Newworldaquarium will release his new album “The Dead Bears” in the beginning of February on dutch label Delsin.
- Los Hermanos have their new album “Traditions and Concepts” in the pipeline, its out in April on Submerge. Check the previews here!
- Kenny Larkin is finishing his new album “Keys, Strings, Tambourines” for Carl Craig’s label. Expect it this spring!

NYC record shop Vinylmania closed

New York’s legendary West Village record shop Vinylmania, the latest of casualities in one of the many neighborhoods where long time businesses are being priced out, has closed. The shop first opened in 1978, and has since become an integral part of the NYC music community.

- Steve Bug is releasing a new 12″ on his Poker Flat Recordings named “Wet ‘n dry” today.
- Israeli DJ/producer Shlomi Aber has launched his own imprint called Be As One Recordings. The label’s focus is on releasing quality “Techno influenced underground House Music,” said Aber, rather than particular genres.
- Aril Brikha’s new artist album is delayed further more because of negotiations with worldwide distributors / labels (the new LP will be released on Peacefrog), according to his blog. He will also have a 12″ out on Kompakt in mid-February called “Winter”.

- Curtis Jones aka Green Velvet announced he’ll be releasing his new artistic album in June 2007.
- Spectral Sound’s first release of 2007 will be the first installment of a brand-new, various artists series titled “Death is Nothing to Fear”. The debut compilation will feature cuts from Audion, Bodycode, and newcomer Par Grindvik.
- James Talk’s new single titled ‘Pass Me The Suntan Lotion’ will be released at the end of Janurary 2007, with a remix from Nic Fanciulli. The track was already featured on Fanciulli’s Renaissance 2 CD this fall. Promo will be out soon.
