New video for SMD’s “Hustler”
October 31, 2007 | Filed Under Artists, Videos | No Comments
Simian Mobile Disco did a new video for their “Hustler” song. We liked the previous version too, this one’s a bit more disturbing. NME says its inspired by Aphex Twin and The Prodigy, lets just hope they wont get into trouble like Duran Duran did with their new video.

Michael Ho - Screw The Coffemaker
October 30, 2007 | Filed Under Artists, Labels, Releases | No Comments
Michael Ho is back, and this time it’s album time at Jay Haze’s Tuning Spork. But unlike other dance labels, they don’t release albums with two tracks you might play once, three collaborations with aging vocalists, and five ambient interludes. They don’t do that cos it sucks. Tuning Spork know you have dancefloors to fill, and that’s important to you. With his LP of all new material, Michael brings you an assortment of firecrackers that are poised to ignite in every club worldwide. This record is made to create total panic in clubs, bouncing between serious, sexy, and soulful. But for us, “soulful” doesn’t mean so polite that you would only play it at an expensive restaurant – it means raw and insane electronic grooves, which is why we left the dirt all over it.
Teenage Bad Girl - Cocotte
October 29, 2007 | Filed Under Artists, Labels, Releases | No Comments
Teenage Bad Girl’s first release, the 12″ “Hands of a Stranger”, quickly reached the dancefloor charts & since the beginning of their short career, they’ve been supported and playlisted by Mylo, Chloé, Paul Woolford, Erol Alkan, Ian Pooley, Justice, DJ Hell, Digitalism, Arthur Baker, Adam Freeland, Ewan Pearson, Vitalic, Boys Noize, Yuksek, etc. Now Teenage Bad Girl are set to release on Citizen Records their debut album “Cocotte” which includes 14 dirty electro tracks with some added remixes from Boys Noize and Hystereo. Some say they are a genetic mix of Daft Punk, Aphex Twin & The Stooges. Anyhow they are part of the new French “electro sound”, together with Justice, Para One, Modeselektor & a few others. And they know how to blow up any dancefloor!
Cristian Vogel - The Never Engine
October 28, 2007 | Filed Under Artists, Labels, Releases | No Comments
In 1995 Cristian Vogel caused dropped jaws with his first release on Tresor “Absolute Time”. A Tresor classic was established and a Tresor chameleon as well. Successive albums ensued and Vogel dived deeper into the conceptual, recondite anti-beats territory that aligned his intellectual efforts with the most seminal of electronic composers. His spectrum has been the result of extensive research into electronic and other music mediums, production and remixing, that has earned him international respect. With “The Never Engine” Cristian Vogel releases his first album on Tresor since 2003’s “Dungeon Master” and embarks on a highly-stylized path that brushes the metaphysical in its scope: the orgonic universal life force (hypothesized by Wilhelm Reich), injected technologically amid linear and audio reciprocity – spellbinding.

Christophe Monier is The Micronauts and “Damaging Consent” is his new artist album. The nineties brought him the joy of discovery, apprenticeship and craze. He set up eDEN, a collective and a pocket size fanzine, with a handful of like-minded clubbers. He produced many records for his solo and collaborative projects, Nature, Discotique, The Eurostars, Impulsion and obviously The Micronauts for labels such as Rave Age Records, Fnac Music Dance Division, Loaded, Phono, Distance, Independiente, Sony…whilst gigs and remixes followed on, mostly in the UK.
