Underworld - Oblivion With Bells
July 21, 2007 | Filed Under Artists, Releases |
UK-based electronica outfit Karl Hyde & Rick Smith, aka Underworld, are set to release their fifth studio album, Oblivion With Bells, in October. The album apparently “kicks off like Saturday night with Sven Väth, Simian Mobile Disco and Frankie Knuckles all fighting to get on the decks, then takes you over the flat fields of rural Essex, through Kings Cross with its olympic dreams and piss stained alleys, ending blissed out in a hidden cove in Ibiza.”
After they produced around 2000 tracks, Karl & Rick apparently called Darren Price, Brian Eno and Larry Mullen (U2) to help them choose some of them and define the tracklisting as follows:
Crocodile
Beautiful Burnout
Holding The Moth
To Heal
Ring Road
Glam Bucket
Boy, Boy, Boy
Cuddle Bunny vs. The Celtic Villages
Faxed Invitation
Good Morning Cockerel
Best Mamgu Ever
