Urban Tribe - Acceptable Side effects

Urban Tribe - Acceptable Side effectsVeteran producer Sherard Ingram, perhaps best (un)known as the mysterious Drexciyan DJ Stingray, drops a new full length on Rephlex. This man has, time and again, proved himself as one of the Godfathers of electronic dance music, while managing to maintain a sub-aqua profile to avoid distraction and dilution of his sound. Urban Tribe’s previous Rephlex album ‘Authorised Clinical Trials’ from summer 2006 has been widely praised: “It broods in the stereo like a cold-hearted killer; eventually jumping from the speakers, coming at you with an axe and the devil in its eye. Minimal it may be, but this album rolls heavy. Resist if you dare” (IDJ).

Throughout the 12 tracks the integrity is retained, there’s no filler and there certainly ain’t no concessions to current musical trends. If your curious to find out know what the real sound of Detroit electro is then this will tune you in, direct from the motor city.
