2006 was a phenomenal year for MOTOR. Not only did they unleash their debut album, Klunk, on the back of their ‘Stuka Stunt’, ‘Sweatbox’ and ‘Black Powder’ singles but their live show as a travelling three piece has torn up clubs, gigs and festivals the world over. Now Mr. No and Bryan Black have chrome-plated the engine and re-fuelled on nitrous as their brand new single Bleep#1 and new artist album Unhuman are wheeled out for a new adventure.

Last year saw MOTOR tour extensively around the US with Nitzer Ebb as well as their own domination of clubs, gigs and festivals across Europe and Japan. If anything the MOTOR live show is now a finely tuned barrage of stage energy, spit in your face noise and assured self belief as the band have matured into a well oiled trio of techno blazing and rock posturing sonic deviants. Their new material has taken this mutant disco hybrid and coerced it into a sleeker and more mature sound that smoothes the edges yet retains the attitude of their previous clubland destroying singles.

The first example of this is new single ‘Bleep#1’, which as its name suggests builds around an incessant computer bleep groove and rolling bass synth, creating a dynamic and pulsating bionic bontempi rhythm. Already road tested to great effect ‘Bleep#1’ has fast become a live show fave. Next up, one of the hottest producers around, Whitey strips down the beat to a more organic live sound with his unique production stamp. Having just finished his second album Great Shakes and his demented side project collaboration with Erol Alkan “The YamaHa-Ha’s” now near completion, the man is set to blow up in 2007.

And if that wasn’t enough to whet your appetite then there’s exclusive to Beatport download only track ‘Buzzslut (Slut Mix)’ which as the title suggests scuzzes its way through the night’s detritus like a busted jet engine.
