Eric Prydz: new EP’s, album & mix CD

On Eric Prydz’s recently launched website, he announced that he plans to release his first artist album in Summer 2007 with a third single to be released around that time, both on Pryda/Data Recordings. Eric’s first official DJ mix album is due at the end of Summer 2007. He has also set a date for the release of his new 12″ on Pryda Recordings. “RYMD/Armed” will be released in about two weeks time, on Monday April 16th. Both tracks can be heard on Prydz’s website in the audio section. Release on Mouseville (MOUSE006) is due very soon aswell.
NYC record shop Vinylmania closed

New York’s legendary West Village record shop Vinylmania, the latest of casualities in one of the many neighborhoods where long time businesses are being priced out, has closed. The shop first opened in 1978, and has since become an integral part of the NYC music community.

Body Language 4 mixed by Dixon

Berlin-based house DJ and producer Steffen Berkhahn aka Dixon, has been chosen to mix the fourth installment of Get Physical’s “Body Language” mix-CD series. With “Body Language 4″ Dixon follows into the footsteps of Jesse Rose, M.A.N.D.Y. and DJ T. Out in late April, the compilation features tracks and remixes from the likes of Timo Maas, Radiohead’s Thom Yorke, the legendary house producer Larry Heard, Telepopmusik, Erig Rug, as well as Innervisions (a label which Dixon co-runs together with Ame) label mates Henrik Schwarz and Chateau Flight.

Matthew’s “Asa Breed” on Ghostly due soon

Matthew Dear is no stranger here on techno-library.info. His long-awaited sophomore album titled “Asa Breed” arrives this June on Ghostly International. Moving beyond his dancefloor roots, this record finds Dear further exploring vocal pop, with expanded instrumentation, and of course the forward-thinking production values. The preliminary 10″ vinyl single “Deserter” is out May 8 and includes a remix from Four Tet as well as a non-album B-side.
Radio Soulwax - 2007 tour dates

The Belgian groove gurus Stephen and David Dewaele, one part of the group Soulwax, are heading out on a US tour with their project 2 Many DJs and Fixed, the Brooklyn Vegan reports. The tour will kick off on 14th of April in Philadelphia and closes with the Coachella date on 29th of April. All of the dates will feature Soulwax Nite Versions live, as well as DJ sets from the Dewaele brothers as 2 Many DJs, and the Fixed boys JDH & Dave P.

James Zabiela and Nic Fanciulli recently announced a new partnership titled “One+One” for 2007. In an homage to Sasha & Digweed’s legendary Delta Heavy tour across the States, the UK duo will embark on a 75 date worldwide tour kicking off at Miami’s Winter Music Conference with the ONE+ONE launch party on March 23 at The Fifth. The tour will spend a month in the U.K.’s hotspots, a month in Asia and Australia trailed by a full three months in Europe centered around Ibiza’s summer season where ONE+ONE will have a series of gigs at the world famous We Love Sundays weekly at Space. The North American leg, set to kick off in May, will include altogether 43 dates.

Venetian Snares returns with the release of “Pink & Green” on April 3rd, 2007. Venetian Snares, aka Gonk the 8-legged Viking, is back with yet another record that sounds nothing like Boards of Canada! From the catchy title track opener “Pink + Green” which blends demented punk vocals with hyper-complex grooves and gut gurgling bass blasts you can just tell this is something fresh and funky from producer Aaron “funk” Funk. Not to worry though the sub-rattling low-end blasts and jackhammering hardcore anthems are still here and in full effect on tracks like “Sporto Fucking Sellout Cocksuckerface” and “Husikam Rave Dojo” that revisit the days of pilled out candy raving.
