James Brown dies at 73The Grammy awards are one of the most prestigious awards a musician can win and covers a whole host of styles of music. They are in music terms like wining an Oscar in the film world. The awards have been running for 49 years with this year being the 49th annual Grammy Awards. It’s an award that any musician would feel very honoured to win. This year’s nominees have all been announced and dance music is very much alive with two awards being up for grabs.

The awards on offer are Best Dance Recording and Best Electronic/Dance Album. From the list of nominee’s the awards tend to focused on the more commercially released singles and albums so for those of you expecting a list featuring some real underground deep house albums then you will be disappointed by the nominees.
