Ultra Music Festival 2007
December 22, 2006 | Filed Under Events |
Organizers of Miami’s Ultra Music Festival have announced that this official closing event for the dance-centric Winter Music Conference will next year add an extra day. Ultra Music Festival 9 happens March 23 and 24, a Friday and Saturday, with a partial lineup announced: The Cure, Tiesto live, Deep Dish, Miss Kitten and Shiny Toy Guns will headline night one; Paul Van Dyk, Ferry Corsten, Carl Cox, Danny Tenaglia and Erick Morillo are the stars of night two. More stars will be added to the line-up in the weeks that come…
“After eight years of Ultra, my partner Alex Omes and I felt we needed to change things up a bit in order to keep the festival new and exciting as we continue the growth we have been lucky enough to have had throughout the years,” states Ultra producer Russell Faibisch. “By adding another day we felt we could offer the opportunity to enjoy live bands like The Cure, who are legends in our culture, while keeping true to our core audience and introducing them to something new.”
Tickets are being sold for both days only (at least for now), at $99.90 for general admission and $350 for VIP access.
BTW the WMC-parallel M3 Summit is not happening this year. Organizers say their gearing up for a productive ‘07 and will be back in “other cities”.
