2006 has been an incredible year for Soma, with the label celebrating both its 200th single release and fifteenth birthday. This year’s edition of their annual compilation is bursting with the year’s choicest cuts and also includes a bonus Slam mix Soma cd. The beginning of 2007 will see the release of Octogen’s debut album on Soma Records, which has been described as “melodic and melancholic album that showcases the direction of deep-mood techno.” Soma will also release a new single from Slam early next year, as well as LP from The Black Dog and “Sci.Fi.Hi.Fi.” compilation mixed by Andrew Weatherall.
Soma Compilation 2006 was released on 1st of December as a double CD. CD1 contains a selection of 2006’s best, feat tracks from Alex Smoke, My Robot Friend, Funk D´Void, Black Dog, Octogen, Silicone Soul, Adam Beyer, Jesper Dahlback and more, while Soma label bosses Slam concoct a seamless label showcase CD mix on CD2, which features new tracks and classics from throughout the years.
